The Sharing Collective Wisdom venue is on Arrente Country. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of this land – past, present and future. There will be contributions from local families and organisations who will share their experiences and enrich the program with wisdom, culture and connection to country.
The Sacredness of song has been long established. Devotional song is an intrinsic part of the Confest. Sacred Earth will be performing and sharing their truly divine sounds. Buddhist Lama Tendar will thrill with his Tibetan chanting. There will be daily opportunities to chant mantra, to practice kirtan and to share other sacred song.
Traditionally dance has been performed to express the connection with nature and the earth.
Kirtan is the singing and chanting of mantra, often in the language of Sanskrit, in a call and response manner. It is a meditative process which raises the vibration and energy yet stills the mind at the same time.
Attendance at SCW allows for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points for Yoga Teachers. Participation in the full program provides 33 CPD points (Yoga Australia) or 40 hours (Yoga Alliance Australia). A break down of points can be found on the Program Itself.
Below is a sample of how the program will run. (Please note this is just to give you an idea of how the events can run; it is not a finalised program).
